Adopt a American Pit Bull Terrier / Miniature Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Bruno is a special boy who will need a special owner to meet his special needs. He is a 6-year old paraplegic pitbull mix who has partial back legs.  Bruno gets around well using a ‘drag bag’ and has his own set of wheels and is unaware of his disability.  He is convinced he is the same as any other dog and acts like any other dog…although you will most likely find he is the happiest dog you have ever met.  He gets along well with dogs and wants to play and has lived with cats.  He may knock over small children as he is exuberant and does not go through life at a low speed when he is moving about. He does require time and devotion to care for as he is incontinent and has ‘sensitive’ skin.  He is well behaved and patient during diaper changing time.

Bruno holds a special place in the hearts of all the people he has touched.  We all want what is best for him and we want to make sure he goes to a home who can provide for all of his special needs.  Castaway has invested a lot of time and resources into getting Bruno to the point where he can find his forever home.  We'd love to find a family to keep us in the loop of how he is doing.

Please note that adoption counselors will only know of your interest if you submit an application. They do not see emails sent to the administration email account. The adoption counselor can answer your questions when they call after receiving your application. Please remember we are an all volunteer organization.

Minimum Adoption Donation is $250 (includes deworming, microchip with free registration, age appropriate vaccinations, spay and 30 days of health insurance). Any donation above the minimum is appreciated
